Palmerstown House is a stunning period residence set on a 900 acre Estate just 20 minutes from Dublin off Junction 8 on the N7. Every Palmerstown House wedding has a fantastic atmosphere during the drinks reception thanks to the stunning ground floor layout and architecture. In my experience I would say that Palmerston House is a real hidden gem of County Kildare and Dublin with fantastic private gardens for family photographs and one of the best interior spaces in which to enjoy a drinks reception and evening celebrations.
The Manor House was built in 1782 by the Earl of Mayo and it retains much of it’s original grandeur. The Estate is also home to a Christy O’Connor Jnr. designed 18 hole championship Golf Course and world renowned stud. The Manor House features 20 bedrooms and can cater for Weddings for up to 120 Guests whilst the Golf Lodge can host up to 200 guests.
The following are amongst the top three reasons why every Palmerston House wedding is a unique, luxurious and memorable event:
1. Palmerstown House is yours exclusively for the duration of your event. The Manor House bedrooms with their private bathrooms and four poster beds will take you back in time to the 1800’s.
2. The stunning interior architecture of the Manor House is an amazing space for the drinks reception and evening celebrations. The magnificent staircase that leads the way into the main hall is a fantastic setting for evening speeches whilst civil ceremonies can take place under the shadows of the chandeliers.
3. Palmerstown’s location is ideal being just 20 minutes drive from Dublin yet in such an idyllic setting.
The following blog post features some of my favourite Palmerstown House wedding photos I took for a lovely Australian/Irish couple last year.
