Nestled on the slopes of Cave Hill Country Park in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Belfast Castle is a beautiful example of a Scottish baronial house with panoramic views across the city and Belfast Lough. I have photographed many Belfast Castle Weddings over the years and it remains as one of my personal favourite venues in the City.
Belfast Castle is a wedding venue that is licensed for civil ceremonies. The main dining room features fantastic views across Belfast – which for Belfast weddings especially at night in the summer is fantastic with guests able to step out into the garden and enjoy the panoramic views across the city of Belfast.
The main stairwell around the back is a classic setting for family groups while the landscaped gardens are a fantastic area for serving canapés and champagne in the sun. The interior capacity is for 220 guests.
The following are among the top 3 reasons that we always get some of our best photographs at Belfast Castle:
1 Belfast Castle is surrounded by incredible scenery. From the summit of Cave Hill to the shores of Belfast Lough the views are exceptional of Northern Ireland’s capital city and the landscaped gardens make the venue ideal for the best wedding photographs.
2 The proximity to Belfast city centre makes it a very handy location for guests especially if you have a lot of friends and family travelling over from London etc.
3 Since the end of World War Two Belfast Castle has been an extremely popular venue for Belfast weddings. Many families have had their formal family wedding photograph taken on the rear staircase of the Castle.
