A beautiful summer home marquee and church wedding in Howth, Co Dublin
Here’s a beautiful wedding reportage from a lovely wedding I covered at the end of August. This was the first wedding amongst a circle of school and university friends I have come to know quite well over the years in other weddings. It’s great to look back at these photographs and see many familiar faces.
The pre-ceremony preparations took place in Dublin city centre and at Lydia’s home in Howth. From her parents home it was a short drive down the road to the impressive Church of the Assumption Howth Parish Church. Amongst my favourite moments from this wedding were Lydia’s arrival at the top of the aisle with her Father. The joke Fred played about being late. The dancing later that evening was pretty epic and this remains the only wedding where I have actually danced with the bride. I think there may be photographs somewhere (but don’t tell anyone).
