Here’s a few highlights from Melanie and Charlie’s Larchfield Estate Wedding.
In addition to the slideshow below please find some of my favourite photographs from the wedding further below.
Thanks so so much for the photographs. We got back from honeymoon yesterday and are feeling rather blue but this has brightened up our mood and day like nothing else. Thanks so much for magically taking us back to that wonderful day. The photos are absolutely stunning and the whole family agrees.
Larchfield Estate Wedding – (Selected Photographs)
This was a pretty raucous Larchfield Estate Wedding as the photographs from the evening celebrations testify. In addition to the slideshow above here are a few of my very favourite images from Mel and Charlie’s gorgeous early summer wedding.
Well, I just loved this photograph of Melanie turning around to greet her sister who was rushing back into the room.
An alternative view of the last minute touch-ups to the make-up.
In one hundred and twenty fifth of a second the camera can record the same expression between sisters within moments of each other.
This was Mel’s sister’s reaction to the first kiss in church.
Since Mel and Charlie had to turn right to walk into the vestry to sign the register I knew I’d get this beautiful photograph of her veil as it stretched out behind her.
I think there was one additional signature required so the minister led them back inside for a second (more grandiose) exit from the church.
While that was going on old friends were greeting each other.
Another gorgeous image showing the back of Mel’s veil.
Probably my favourite image from the wedding – I photographed this with a fish-eye lens on the front of the Nikon.
Love this one – just as they entered the main barn for the evening celebrations.
A lovely tender moment between the bride and her Dad – right after he had finished his speech.
Another great picture of the bride’s sister.
Almost everyone was on a chair or a table at some point. I may also have clambered up onto a chair or two to photograph the action but of course, there won’t be any proof of this.
As much as everyone enjoyed seeing the groom up on a table there was also a little relief at his eventual safe return to the ground.
I love this photograph of Mel with her friends – she has a great presence in the picture.
Another great little vignette of the crowd.
This was Mel and Charlie’s first dance. After the brief interlude of romance it was back to the raucous celebrations.
