It’s just over a month since I photographed the Ballynahinch Castle wedding of Alice and Alex.
Here’s some highlights by way of a slideshow and some selected photographs below. I hope you enjoy them!
I started my day photographing the groom shooting down by the lake and it was lovely to see the mountains of Connemara in the background.
Then it was indoors to catch up with the girls in the Castle. Ballynahinch is such a beautiful venue – one which I know very well.
After walking through to meet her Dad in the reception of Ballynahinch it was a quick jaunt around the coast to the church. You would never tire of driving along the roads of Connemara.
It was one of those beautiful winters days – nice and crisp with bright sunshine. The colour of the church inside was amazing and the priest made for a very fun ceremony.
Thereafter, we headed outside for some confetti before continuing on to Ballynahinch Castle.
Ballynahinch Castle sits beneath the Twelve Bens of Connemara and has it’s own lake. Inside it is a lovely warm and cosy atmosphere and it has hosted many famous visitors through the years.
On the main staircase hangs the US Presidential Seal from when President Carter stayed here. Over the years the Castle has hosted many fantastic weddings and events. During the summer months Ballynahinch is a popular fishing resort with tourists the world over.
After a couple of hours catching up with friends and family followed by some family photographs in the hotel we then went for dinner, speeches and dancing.
A beautiful oak panelled set of suites, allowed Alice and Alex to have a romantic, and gorgeously decadent Ballynahinch Castle wedding.
It’s a wedding venue I look forward to shooting at again.
I hope you enjoy this small selection of images from their Ballynahinch Castle Wedding.
